What is restlessness,
It's her walking along a deserted beach,
It's her standing on slowly moving sand dunes
In a parched dry dessert,
It's her lying on a bed of ease,
Yet discontented with her soul's longing.
What is restlessness,
It's her sailing by on a silver winged bird,
It's her flowing with the ebbs and tides of the ocean,
It's her looking for love in someone's glance,
It's her riding high in a baloon made from dreams.

It's her knocking on your door,
Wanting to come into your world,
Wondering if she's welcome there.
What is restlessness,
It's her feeling the pull of the night.

Her face shrouded by hope.
What is restlessness,
It's her.
